About AIRS Certification
Professional credentials are awarded to individuals who successfully complete
the appropriate Certification Program for I&R practitioners.
Certification is a measurement of demonstrated and documented ability in the
field of I&R reflecting specific competencies and related performance
criteria, which describe the knowledge, skills, attitudes and work-related
behaviors needed by I&R practitioners to successfully execute their duties.
Individuals who successfully pass the certification
examination are awarded a certificate, lapel pin and may use the following
credentials after their names:
The basic cost of a Certification application is $65 for AIRS members at the
basic level (with applicable discounts, it is $55 for premium members, $62 for
enhanced members and $62 for standard level members) and $200 for non-members.
An examination re-take is $20. Recertification is $30 for members and $165 for
non-members. Completed applications, supporting documentation and payment must
